Creating great digital content for alumni engagement: Tracy speaks at CASE #ARI15

This week, Tracy Playle has been down in at the University of Leicester speaking at the annual CASE Europe Alumni Relations Institute.

In the morning session, Tracy discussed emerging technologies that shape alumni communications of the future. With such intense content competition for time and attention, how can organisations reach their audiences with relevant and timely communications and what role does social media play in this? This was the question she addressed in her second session of the day, looking specifically at social media for alumni engagement.

Delegates were also given a copy of this wall chart to help them think about how to creating engaging content for alumni, and how to plan their content strategy for alumni relations. (We have a few of these in the office still that we can post to UK institutions if you’d like one in your office – just ask us to post you one)


In the afternoon Tracy reflected on approaches for understanding your audience better to inform social media planning for alumni engagement. By using Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff’s social technographics profile, we worked through exercises for how to use this to plan your social media approaches.
